CA for DC Tickets

Checked my credit reports a little while ago and noticed a collection for $55 on TU and $55 and $30 from EX. The OC is the District of Columbia Government, so I'm guessing they're possibly for tickets.

There are several issues I'm having right now. The first is I have paid parking for my personal vehicle and I use an agency vehicle during work. I live and play in Maryland. I have no unpaid tickets!! The second issue is I received no notice that I supposedly have this outstanding debt, otherwise I would have definitely forked over $85 to keep my scores from going from 768 to 673 for TU and from 756 to 649 for EX., although it's not my debt. My EQ (741) at the moment remains unaffected.

I did dispute the items, but it is extremely annoying. It's a good thing I did not apply for Discover as I comtemplated last night. In addition, I hope this does not affect my Amex account. Should I wait for the results of the investigation or is there anything I can do parallel? TIA.

Re: CA for DC tickets/ I'm about to blow my stack!!!

I've seen several posts about this recently. Guess DC is jonesing for more money.

I'll bet if you edited your subject line to include something like "CA for DC tickets", you'd get some posts. Otherwise try a search on "parking tickets."

Thanx hauling.

They're probably trying to recover some of that 44 million dollars stolen from taxpayers through DC Tax and Revenue.
