CA not responding

So I sent a CA a DV a month ago and have not heard anything from them in over 30 days. Now I disputed the CA with the CBs to try and get the CA removed . So will the CBs try and validate the debt thru the CA , or delete it themselves, how does that work? Thanks everyone

When they don't respond to a DV, send copies of letter you sent them, CM receipt, green card and a letter to the CRA explaining that a CA has 30 days to validate a debt per FDCPA and if they fail to validate that they can not by law collect on it or report on it, please delete. There is a sample letter floating around here somewhere..

With that said, it's usually an uphill battle to have the CRA's actually delete the entry. CA's have a tendency to verify with the CRA's even though they ignore DV letters.

That is when you begin sending ITS letters.

CRA's do not know about DV or the law concerning this. That is why it is important to include what DV is and how that affects things when a CA can't validate. CRAs and CAs been getting slapped lately, so I think they will become more willing to comply with laws instead of giving us a hassle. Or I can hope anyhow.
