CA woes...

Hello this is my first, but hoepfully not last post. I ran across your site from a work friend and it helped her out tremendously. Hopefully, the same can be done with myself. I have just recently checked my credit score from experian and there are some CA's on there. They all total around 1300. I have recently contacted a couple of them have managed to form a payment plan to pay them off. After reading some older post I have seen that even though these CA's are paid off, they will not raise my score? I wanted to know before I go into another payment to pay off the last 2. If there is someone to speak with directly or should i send a letter along with my first payment in order to get these off. The only revolving credit I have atm is my CC through first premier (which i hate but am being more responsible with paying more than min and such) and my student loans which i haven't had a missed or late payment on. Last thing 2 of which will be paid off by the end of the week is there anything I can do before the payment is sent in to help my score?

Re: CA woes...

You need to try and negotiate a Pay For Delete(PFD). If last payment is due this week.......they may or may not accept. You can always try GW after they are paid.
