CC account closed by credit grantor

So I was looking at my CR and noticed I had an account that was closed by credit grantor. After looking into it I found out it was an account that I was a joint card holder with my ex-wife. She filed BK and it is on my CR as closed by grantor and the way I found out is I applied for the card and they said I have an account that was charged off or included in a BK. They are not trying to collect from me but it also wont come off my CR of a long time. Should I try to just pay for removal? Any help would be great.

Thanks

I'd definitely try a PFD. Make sure you send in writing and receive a response in writing from the OC. Good luck!

Could you give us some more details regarding this account (the information from the CBR) and the circumstances under which it was opened?

I would definately NOT send any payment offers until it is established that you still have a legal obligation for debt on this account.

How did your divorce decree dispose of accountability for this account?  It must have stipulated your, or her, obligation for the debt.

As a joint creditor, you are responsible unless the court disposed of your obligation in their decree.

Start with your divorce decree before you do anything.
