I have a bestbuy mastercard (can be used in store and everywhere else). I do not remember the first bank they were under, but I do know that it changed twice since I have had the card, and is now under CITIBANK. In the midst of the changes they transferred my card and info from the previous banks they were with and each time a new card was issued (same number and everything, just a different bank name on the bank). I looked at my credit report and each time they transferred banks, it shows my current card now as being closed (under that old bank), and then reopened under the new bank that they transferred to. *Hopefully this all makes sense to you all*
so my question is, for the two closed accounts on my "current" card, how do i dispute them to the credit bureau? I do not want it to look like those accounts were closed for bad reasons, even though it is technically still opened.

Closed by lender does not reflect negatively on your credit report. Since these accounts were valid, they cannot be removed via the dispute process.
It depends how it is listed on your report it might even help your AAoA. I have 1 account listed closed (lost or stolen card) when the renewal card was lost in mail and this account is listed with the original opening date twice. I love it because it gives me 2 yrs more on my AAoA. Unfortunately only on EQ I have this account listed twice.
If your present issuer has it on the report with the original opening date it might also help your AAoA ? I wish BofA had reported the same way for EX and TU..lol

As stated above there's no negative impact from this and you have no basis for dispute. That's how the accounts should be reported.
