CRA timeframe

If a CA removes an account from your credit report, how long does it take for it to show on your report? I am asking because I had a PFD agreement with a CA and the account is still not removed. It's only been about 10 days but that was the agreement. They would remove it within 10 days.  What if they don't remove it...what should I do from there?

Re: CRA timeframe

Have you updated your reports on TC so that you're seeing the most current CRs?

Re: CRA timeframe

Dispute the same collection thru EQ, EU, TU. It worked for me. Some is going to be faster, and this will increase your chance of having it delete it sooner.

Re: CRA timeframe

yes I have updated my TU just today and it is still showing on there. I held up my end of it by paying them their money. I even had sent a money order so there was no waiting for check to clear or any of that. ughhhh very frustrated right now. I have a dispute going on with TU now so I can't dispute it right now with them. I had written a gw letter to another CA for 3 medical bills and they removed all three...said in the letter it could take 30 days but they were off of there today.

Remember that credit bureaus use different methods to receive and process good versus bad credit information.

Information that would negatively affect your credit rating--like a late pay or charge-off--is instantly beamed from the creditor to the agency via Department of Defense 256-megabit fiber optic lines and written to their servers in 8.6 milliseconds.

Information that would positively affect your credit rating is scribed onto scrolls in special ink by Gregorian monks, which are then painstakingly illuminated. The Credit Scrolls are then placed onto camel caravans which wind their way to the credit bureau headquarters by way of Marrakesh, Dubai, and Tripoli. Once the caravan reaches Equifax, Experian or TransUnion, the scrolls are then laid out in the sun for a week so that the special ink can be read. (Note that the weather around the credit bureau headquarters is notoriously gloomy, like FICO itself, so finding seven consecutive days of sunshine can be quite an ordeal in and of itself.) Only then can the information finally be encoded into your credit files...

I would try to beat the camels to Chester by faxing in a dispute. Tell 'em the creditor agreed to delete this TL.

Re: CRA timeframe

Can I do that with an ongoing dispute? thought I read somewhere to wait.....if you already have one going on. If not I will fax them the copy tomorrow.

Re: CRA timeframe

MidnightVoice...ahhhh I see that this must be the method they are using....anyone got a hair dryer they can use so maybe it might be off of there by the spring?? Just a frustrating thing when you are trying to get everything straightened out. I have found myself over the past month saying; "breath 2,3,4"
