DOES ANYONE USE CREDITKEEP? hOW DO YOU KNOW THAT YOUR CS IS A FAKO?
THANKS IN ADVANCE...
There's a number of ways to determine that a Creditkeeper score is a FAKO.
First way is obvious. If you go to the scores page and scroll to the bottom, you'll see this in the fine print:
http://www.mycreditkeeper.com/Content.aspx?content=creditTools%2fSample3BReport&lyr=lyr6
Also, CreditXpert, Inc. [provider of data through Experian] is not connected in any way to Fair Isaac Corporation; the Personal Credit Score is not a so-called FICO score.
Next way to determine whether or not this is a FICO is within these forums. Information is thrown out whereby the exact locations to find your FICO score are available. Currently, you can get your EQ FICO score from three places: your lender, myFICO.com, and from Equifax.com. You can get your TU FICO score from your lender, myFICO.com, and from transunioncs.com (note the -cs). Finally, as of last February, it is impossible (thanks to Experian) to pull your own EX FICO score. However, you can get it via your lender or from a CU in PA called PSECU if you happen to be a member. All other scores from any other source are not FICO scores, but FAKOs.
Finally, one true test to determine the validity of any score is to pull a score from a location, like creditkeeper, and then pull your FICO score from myFICO on the same day. If the two do not match, then the score from the non-myFICO source is a FAKO.

Welcome to the forums.
The wording on different websites is important also. If you are offered a "credit score" but not a "FICO credit score" you know it is a fake (FAKO). Only those companies offering a true FICO score can use the word "FICO".
(myfico)
7/09 TU-742 EQ- 779
8/09 TU-765 EQ- 783
9/09 EX pulled by lender 802
CC interest free as of 8/09
Time can heal all wounds and a low FICO.

Good one. Since FICO access is rare, it is an excellent selling point to advertise the fact that you (as in the company) sell a FICO.
