Hello there, yes send everything to the cra certified. I would say this especially to experian. I did a dispute on line with them as well mostly to see what would happen and I got a response from them saying the item was verfied. I know for a fact that company is not reporting as this was back in 2001. All they did was to go to e-oscar. So I send a letter of MOV by certified mail. Remember certified mail gives you a copy that they received your letter. You want that green card.
It seems that will do anything to make us go away. Stay after them. As I have said before they IMHO they are the hardest to work with.

Here is a copy of the letter that I sent. You can change it for your purpose.
Dear Experian:
My social security number is 000-00-0000. I was born on July 00, 0000. My address is listed above. After examining my Experian Credit Report, I have discovered the following errors.
I am requesting Verification of Negative Items shown on my credit report. As you know, the Fair Credit Reporting Act requires you to Follow Reasonable Procedures to Assure Maximum Possible Accuracy of the Information on my Report. Accordingly, I am Requesting you Verify the items I am Disputing at a Higher Standard than a Computer Generated Inquiry or Third Party Database Search. Also, please Notify each Source that Reported these items within (5) days after Receiving this Dispute and obtain either VERBAL OR WRITTEN PROOF DIRECTLY FROM A PERESON AT THAT SOURCE PURSUANT TO:
15 USC Section 611 (i) 7 & Section (6) (I) (iii) of the FCRA.
Verify with that Person, my Full Name, Address, Date of Birth, Social Security Number, Status & Date of Last Activity and Balance Amount (If Applicable). If any one article of these points o
of information listed is inaccurate or incomplete, the entire entry must be deleted. When you have Finished your Investigation, I want the Name, Address and Telephone Number of the Person at Each Source you Contacted as the law requires you to do and also a Corrected Updated Copy of my Credit Report.
I will expect you to Complete your Investigation Within 30 Calendar Days from the Date you Received this Dispute with All the information Detailed in the Foregoing Paragraph as Mandated in the FCRA Statutes or the items being Disputed will be UNVERIFIABLE & SUBJECT TO DELETION..
The items appear on my credit report as follows:
And another sample as well. I found this by searching MOV letters on myfico. Scroll down to find the letter.....
It seems that NOT signing them is highly recommended. I believe it has to do with someone being able to scan your signature?
Good Luck to you,
D-R
