Can I dispute this?

I was approved for my BECU card in early December... the problem is, it never showed up.  After 2 weeks of waiting I had the card cancelled and a new card sent out.

Today was the 6 month mark since I last pulled my reports and scores, so I got fresh copies.  This card is reporting twice... the original card is reporting and shows "lost or stolen" and the replacement card is reporting as it should.

Can I dispute the lost card?  I'm thinking about AAoA and a card that shows an age of 1 month certainly isn't going to help me in the long run...

Thoughts?

Some report the lost/stolen others dont. You can request it be removed.

Re: Can I dispute this?

Should I go to BECU and request it removed or should I do an online dispute with EQ/EX/TU?

From my experience, it is common for the orig and replacements to both show when a new card is issued, and that FICO ignores the reporting of the lost card in its scoring.

It makes sense, in that the lost card is marked closed with reason of lost, so its reporting is not really inacurrate.

Thus, there may be no disputable inaccuracy or FICO score impact.......

Re: Can I dispute this?

Thanks for the tips.

I'll probably ask BECU if it's possible to be removed but won't bother with disputes.
