Can not validate my identity

I just received a new Chase preferred card and when I went online to active it gave me a message to call. When I called they said they wanted to ask me some security questions to validate my identity. This is where the problem starts. They asked me when I lived at this certain address. An address i have no clue to where it is and then they asked me when did I work at this certain job. A job I’ve never heard of!! Has anyone else experienced this i have no clue where to start or what to do.

If you have a branch near by, how about visiting it?

Agree with AllZero - visit a branch a bring a couple of forms of ID, along with a utility bill w your current address, if possible.

While there, try to find out what data collection service they're using to verify - could be something like LexisNexis. Contact the service and request copies of your consumer file. Review it for innacurate info; you should be able to dispute whatever is incorrect directly with the service. This is something you should try to straighten out now- otherwise, verification issues are likely to occur again in the future. I'd also recommend freezing your credit reports asap in case of potential ID theft.
