Can't Request Credit Report

How do I get copies of my actual credit report from annualcreditreport.com? All 3 x bureaus decline my request, usually stating something along the lines of not being able to verify my identity. I tried like 5 x different addresses, different browsers, you name it... Phone number 877-322-8228 just goes to another automated system. How do I connect with a live person who can pull said reports, instantly?

What gives? These organizations treat us like a bunch of criminals. "We're denying your credit card application, we know something but won't tell you, and instead read off template language suggesting you request your credit report. Credit reporting authorities are holding something against you too, but they won't disclose anything either." Good lord...

"If people want to pigeonhole you, then just view it as an opportunity to prove them wrong and show that you are different to what they think you are." -E. Gordon Gee

I Am Not My Credit Score - it's just a made-up number that we all have to live with.

Re: Can't Request Credit Report

You can always request a copy from each CRA individually in writing, you may need to include a copy of supporting evidence as proof of identity.  If you go that route I'd suggest you send the request(s) via USPS CMRR to get something loosely resembling chain-of-custody handling.

Re: Can't Request Credit Report

Understand your challenge! Not able to obtain such reports. Did what another poster stated and used the USPS paper method to order reports direct from the bureaus.

Why is my question can we not get our Annaul Reports.
