Can't access my credit reports online

First time I post. Ive been having major issues with my credit reports. I have never been able to access them online. Transunion say they have a score for me, however can't explain the online problem. Equifax is the big issue! They say none of the companies that have given me credit have reported anything. I contacted all these companies and they said they have. A kay jewelry credit specialist even contacted equifax to confirm my information. She then told me to call equifax that they would fix the issue and guess what I called and the rep said the same exact thing "the companies are nt reporting". I really don't understand what is going, I got my ssn as part of my work authorization. Ive got my credit cards and car lease. There has to be history somewhere. Who can I talk to. I have already faxed equifax twice my information, both times same answer, they blame the reporting companies. However how does transunion have a report? Im clueless to this system.

Re: Can't access my credit reports online

First off, if TU says they have a score it is not a FICO score.  They don't sell them on the site anymore.

How long ago did you get your SSN and first get credit here?  It takes 6 months of one account reporting to generate a FICO score.

Re: Can't access my credit reports online

TU said they had a score through the phone, the representative did not actually give it. Experian representative said I could have a freeze? because he could not pull up my account. Ive had one credit card since august, another since december, and my car lease since july. They said they have been reporting everymonth. The ssn i got jan 2012

Re: Can't access my credit reports online

What I am trying to explain is TU does not give you FICO scores.  The score the CSR is talking about is one formulated by TU and does you no good.

If you had a freeze on your reports the CSR would have known.

Are you sure all of these accounts report to all CRAs?  It is possible they only report to one or two.

Depending on when the accounts initially reported, it may not have even been 6 months yet.

Re: Can't access my credit reports online

All three companies told me they had been reporting to the three EQ EX and TU, they also said they have been reporting monthly. If they have been reporting monthly, shouldn't it show up somewhere?

Yes, the TL should be showing up.  If there was a freeze the CRAs would definitely know that and not assume there may be.

Re: Can't access my credit reports online

So what do you recommend I do or contact? I have called all CBs and their representatives are not helpful, even the dispute department. I contacted all my credit companies. I even contacted those paralegals that "fix" credit and they had no idea what to do. And it upsets me because Ive always paid everything on time to make and keep a good credit and now I find out its non existing.

OP, I don't know what you've tried, or not tried, so I'll post as if you are starting the report request from scratch.

The first thing I'd do is try to get each of the free reports from annualcreditreport.com. It doesn't cost anything. I would also try to pull free reports from 3rd-party sources from creditkarma.com, creditsesame.com, and credit.com. If it still doesn't work, then I would skip the phone calls and request the 3 reports via mail. You'll have to provide identifying info like a driver's license, utility bill to establish residency, etc. Here's more info.

To be sure, when you applied you used your SSN, right (as opposed to a former tax ID number or something like that)?

Re: Can't access my credit reports online

Ok here its the whole story. I am an F1 student, I started working at my university were I got my social security card. When I got my social security card, my full name was added First name, second name, last name, surname (mother's last name). My social security card says for work only authorized by DHS. I got my SSN December 2011. On July I co-signed a lease, for the car I am currently driving. I am the one paying it. In August I took out a credit card with bank of america, a cash rewards card with a 99 secure deposit $500 limit. In november I got a Kay Jewelry credit card, low limit too $500 I believe. Since then I haven't added anything else, no other accounts. All the other things like light bill, rent are under my name. For all these things, the companies used my first name middle name and last name, not my surname (mother's last name), and my SSN. Since Jun 2012 I've been working in a company outside of my university, under OPT (work authorization), they also use my SSN. In early february I wanted to purchase a motorcycle with credit, so I wanted to find out what my credit score was before I even applied. Went I tried to get the annualcreditreport, none of the three companies was able to give it, always giving me an error message to contact their customer service. I contacted equifax first, they tried to set up an account for me to see my report but it failed, so they asked me to fax my ssn and ID, which I did. The first time they said they hadnt recieved it, so I talked to the dispute department and faxed it straight to them. They then added the ssn and ID and looked up my record and said I had NO RECORD, 0 credit, NO accounts linked to my credit report. I then contacted hyundai, bank of america, and kay jewelry, and all three said they had been reporting monthly to all three Credit Bureaus, we confirmed my information and it was correct (name, address, and SSN). I passed on this information to equifax and they insisted these companies never reported anything. Kay jewelry decided to help me a little bit more, and a credit specialist from that company contacted equifax. According to this credit specialist, equifax said they had no history because they had been rejecting the reports because I had an "invalid" SSN. My SSN is not invalid. The kay jewelry credit specialist said to contact equifax again since she had talked to a supervisor and they would be able to fix the issue now. I called, and the representative said "the companies are not reporting anything, there is no credit on file". So circles. I contacted the social security office, they confirmed the name used in the system was my full full name, however that companies could find me different ways meaning using only my first name and last name. So my SSN is NOT invalid. So I don't know if I am just dealing with retarded call representatives or I'm a victim of a major screw up by.....mmm idk who. What do you think?
