Not really sure where to put this, so smorgasboard it is!
April 29th. That's the day I get my annual report from Experian - I've been doing it for several years now. I have 5 past reports from them.
Tried yesterday, got a message stating that they were unable to honor my request, with a phone number to call.
I called the number that was provided, and was told they could send my report to me via standard mail. I told them I'd like to get it online, like I'd been doing the past 5 years.
Anyone else having trouble getting a report from them online? I didn't even get to the identity verification, so I'm fairly certain that's not the issue here...
Maybe just a glitch due to timing. Clear cookies and/or use a different web browser and retry. Experian is generally easy to get free annual reports from.
Another route, if you have have been declined credit in the past 60 days, is request a free report directly at Experian - http://www.experian.com/reportaccess/

Thanks for the information. I originally tried from my laptop last night. I tried again at work today, same message. Tried again on my laptop tonight (different browser) and still no luck...
I tried your method above (was denied by Amex a few weeks ago), and it told me they were unable to process my request. Sigh...
Edit: Just tried to purchase my $1 Experian report and score from credit dot com - even when buying it, they don't want to give it to me

If you have an open dispute(s) with Experian, that could be the reason.
I disputed a false collection a few months ago, but I don't know the current status of how it's reporting on Experian. I can't even get into their online dispute site to check - it immediately kicks me out, saying they're unable to complete my request.

I would request the report by mail and have it delivered by mail, hard copies have more info than online reports. Send a copy of your ID and a recent utility or CC statement to prove current address along as well. Good luck ![]()
I couldnt get mine either, it didnt seem to load just went straight to you can call or mail for your repot type of thing.
I ended up paying 1 dollar to get the week trial on their site, I had no problems ordering it from their site for the 1 dollar fee.
First time its happen for me as well. I had the same thread about 2 weeks ago. Everyones advice was pretty much, call or mail to get the report.
*edit*
oh yeah, they told me hard copies had more info.
The 1 dollar report off their site has more info than the hard copies I got last year. So the freebie report may still be crap but their 1 dollar week trial report is huge. (Mine was over 60 pages)
