I have $3500 - $5000 on 5 Synchrony store cards (ON, Amazon, WM, Sams and AE). I can't seem to get the large limits on the Majors. Still playing with Capital one adding $400 every 6 months. Still have the dreaded Credit One (Can't wait to close that one) and Wells Fargo won't even convert my Secured. Score ranging from 630 -650. Can't get approved from Barclaycard because of my recent spree (about 2 months ago). What gives?

@Anonymous majors do you have? Is the Cap1 on credit steps? how old is your credit file or AAoA? any baddies on file? based on your scores that is the probably the main thing holding you back @ this point,,, let accounts age a while and score build up to ~680 be4 apping or doing anymore sprees meanwhile working on anything that you can to improve file to make yourself look as great as possible when you do app...building up CL & scores take time and lots of patience..you'll get there...
I am sure some of the more experience ficoers will have many more suggestions too
Good Luck on your credit Journey !!!!!!!
Thanks for the suggestions/help. I figured time is the only thing that would help in this case. I have the steps on Cap one. AAoA is ~5 years. Oldest being 19 years. I have about 20 total accounts. 2 baddies that will drop off next year. Not paying since they're so close. I'll just have to wait it out. Thanks.

Your credit and income do not support higher limits. If you want feedback on specifics then you need to give us a better idea of your credit profile. CLI's are not simply handed out in exchange for time.
If you spreed with such a profile then you also have recent credit seeking activity that may have been too much for your profile.
All we can do is provide general answers without more information.

Those aren't helping either. Impact of them may have been reduced over time but you'll still be in better shape with 0 derogs versus any derogs.
Thanks. Just checking since store cards were getting large limits.
Hi
So listen...dont worry about the limits. As time goes on...and the baddies fall off...and your scores get to over 700...the majors will come to you. Store cards are much easier for higher limits since their exposure is more localized. Be patient..and remember...the cards will always be there. In no time you will have your first 5 digit card. Promise
Gregg
I would apply for QuickSilver. You can have up to 5 accounts with Cap One.
Often, CLI are harder than getting a new account with a much higher limit.
I opened up 10k cards after CLI denied.
