Re: Canceling CCT

They did not cancel my trial when requested and I was billed. I requested a refund and they said no refunds. I warned them I would dispute with my CC company so they said they would, but three weeks later I hadn’t received it. I called again and they gave me the runaround, and when I threatened to dispute, they again claimed they would “accelerate the process”. Here it is a month later, and nothing. I will NEVER use them again. Their customer service lied to me twice and I still don’t have my refund. I’m disputing it.

Sorry to hear this happened to you, but this seems like an outlier example to me, as I've never heard of this happening to anyone else.  I've had them charge me several times in the past and they are extremely kind and quick to administer a refund.

Re: Canceling CCT

One workaround is to pay with a prepaid. That way, when the trial runs out they cant charge me.

This is why I will wait on the phone for an hour. So because they didn't respond to my first email they'll automatically respond to my second email? They don't answer my emails and charge me and I'll still end up having to call in either way.

No you won't.  Even the few times I haven't had my emails answered promptly by CCT and I've been charged, eventually they DO respond to your emails and will issue the refund, all without any phone calls.  Sure this may take an extra week or so, but to me, it's well worth not having to deal with the phone call.

Re: Canceling CCT

Honestly, I would much rather put the phone on speaker for an hour while I do other things than deal with the uncertainties of emails that can possibly drag on for weeks.

Re: Canceling CCT

I have little time where I can leave the phone on speaker most days between class, work and other obligations otherwise I would. When I do have free time, there’s about a thousand things I’d rather do than wait on hold for an hour or more to get a refund for $30. I definitely will not be using CCT’s services again.

To each their own.  For me, I don't have an hour to spare for this.  In order for me to come up with an hour, I'd have to give up something else such as a trip to the gym, spending limited time with my son, etc.  I don't ever have an hour, even with speaker phone on and doing other things that I can commit to being on hold.
