I spoke with them tonight. The lady said that the account was open and she showed no lates however there are about 6 on my credit reports. She said that the account was paid in full and open however it had been resticted due to Lack of activity. She said write a letter asking for the restriction to be removed so I did. We will see what the deal is soon enough

I, too opened a Cap 1 card last year and then realized what all the fees were and called to cancel. They claimed to cancel the account, but it does show on my credit report as open, although mine is in good standing. I suppose I should call them and find out what the interest rate is and maybe have them mail me a card?

Yep. Just remember to max it out once and then PIF every month.
