Cap 1 GW Success??

Has anyone on here had any recent luck with Cap1 GWing any lates?  I have a couple of 90 day lates with them that I would like to have removed from 2003.

I sent a GW letter back in February for my 30 day late and I received a letter back from them that basically verified that I was late. I am sending out another letter today to their UT address, I think the first one I sent was to Richmond. I am going to keep trying each month. I am still a customer and have only one 30 day late and my account was opened in July 2005.

I did recently have a 90 day and a 30 day from early 2002 drop off on TU only. Don't know why, but I did send about a dozen GWs between Sept. and Feb.

Last month I also talked to them on the phone. I think that helped, but still no expanation why TU only.

If the account has been in good standing since the late pay........it is old & not hurting much if at all.....but Cap1 1 MIGHT  delete    but you must be in good standing.

Send GW to the address on your CR   not where the addy for payments

This account has been closed since 2003.  I have another account with them that isn't showing any lates on my credit report.  (I have paid it 29 days late several times)  Of course it was way over my credit limit and so I just paid it down to below my credit limit and they charge me a $59 "member" fee.  The account is restricted but they charge me a member fee.  Whatever.

Rbrown - what was your secret to getting Cap1 to remove the lates?

I just followed up with GW letters almost like every -otherday explaining that I have been on time and paying more than the min. Balance. I also added " I value the honor of having a CC from Cap1 and would like to continue doing business with them... Actually they sent me a letter today and me about a GW to remove the last 30day late that I had in May of 06
