Cap One Account Setup Help

So after I was approved for the SavorOne, I set up my account with Capital One. I completed all the steps but now it keeps telling me to “complete account setup” and when I click it, the only action remaining is adding an authorized user. I have no desire to add an AU, and I want it to quit prompting me to finish setting up an account I’ve already finished just because I don’t want an AU. How can I make this little prompt go away? It’s driving me mad—much like having an unread notification on my phone. 😂

Re: Cap One Account Setup Help

Are you doing this on a computer, phone, or app? Have you tried calling customer service?

Re: Cap One Account Setup Help

I got Savor in February 2019. I remember the same thing. It went away on its own...eventually. Not exactly sure when as I didn't use the card much after meeting the SUB until they introduced Postmates Unlimited.

I push payments from Schwab, so as long as the card was working the account was set up as far as I was concerned.

But it will go away...then they'll start hounding you with mediocre BT offers.

Personal spend: Amex Gold, Amex Schwab Plat., BofA PR+CCR(x2), Costco
Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU
Perks: Delta Plat., United Explorer, IHG49, Hyatt, "Old SPG"
Mostly SD: Freedom Flex, Freedom, Arrival
Upgrade/Downgrade games: ED, BCE
SUB chasing: AA Platinum Select

Re: Cap One Account Setup Help

i used to have the same problem with my cap one platinum.

it kept telling me to complete setup by adding the card to my paypal account.

i did that and it stayed on there for over a month or so before it finally stopped.

for the most part, i just ignored it.

Re: Cap One Account Setup Help

I had the same thing.  I also did not want an authorized user.  It made worry my account setup wasn't completed.  I called a customer  rep, and she assured  me my account was set up.  She wasn't able to help me as far as that authorized user step showing up every time I logged on.  But it went away after two or three months, maybe sooner.   I'm not exactly sure when it went away.  One day I realized it was gone.
