Capital One: Reporting Time?

How long does it normally take Capital One to report new accounts?  I got my account at the beginning of the month.  They already cut my first statement.  Only the inquiries are showing.

Re: Capital One: Reporting Time?

In my case, they reported right after the 2nd statement generated and they had received my first payment to them.  I applied on Sept5, and my statement date is the 18th.  So my 2nd statement generated on Oct.18 and my 3 reports updated with the new account on the 21-23rd.

It isn't that unusual as I've seen that pattern over the years on other accounts including my car loan.

Re: Capital One: Reporting Time?

I think they're a bit slap-dash in when they begin reporting.

DH's reported a month and a half after he got, and used the card (he didn't get a statement until the next month, though). My C1 card began reporting before I even received it! It began reporting 3 days after I was approved for the card. In my case, I got my first statement the day BEFORE I got the card!!

The speediest, though, was Wal-Mart. They began reporting the DAY AFTER he was approved for it. Funny though, is the fact that we used it online (before we actually got the physical card) and it reported, at first, with a $0 balance. Two weeks later, it reported AGAIN, but this time, with the balance.
