Can Charge off accounts that have aged beyond seven years be added to your credit report? Take in consideration that there was no correspondences noted. This was a old checking account, resulting in a check being paid by the CU in 10/2004.

Accounts are reported for 7 to 7.5 years from the DOFD ( date of first deliquency ), depending on if they are Charge Off accounts from the OC or Collections.
They can't be added after that, without changing the DOFD, which is not allowed per the FDCPA.
Thanks for the info. This all happen like Monday. Not that I had a problem in paying it. I was not aware. I have since contacted them and paid the check. I requested a copy of the paid (bad debt) letter that would reflect it being paid in full and the CU indicating that they would remove the complete account from my report. I don't believe them. Creditors may it so easy to put stuff on your report and so very slow if ever to remove it.

That's great that they said they would remove it from your reports. Sometimes it can take 30 days or so, but hopefully it will be gone soon.
