Charge off so old it doesn't effect score?

I have a chargeoff from Capital One from 1/2003. Each month TrueCredit sends me an alert that a delinquency has been added to my file from Cap.1, but when I look at what they flagged, it seems to be Cap1 updated the account. My score does NOT change when they do this, but I am a little confused as to why I get a delinqency alert for Cap1 updated, but not from the other charge offs I have.

Any one know what this is about? Is it just too old to really effect my score?

Do your other chargeoffs update monthly and increase the balance like I'm assuming cap1 does?  (Does for me so I guess they would for you too lol).

I don't actually get any alerts when the bal on my Cap1 CO increases.  Now I'll have to go look and see why haha

No, just the Cap 1.

If it's the only one updating monthly, then that's probably why it's the only one you get an alert for.  If the balance is still figuring into your utl I'd assume it should cause a score change for you, but it depends on how they're reporting as to whether or not it counts for your Utl.  Right now they're reporting CO'd for me but they do show a balance that is due, so it's hurting me pretty badly, I just don't have the cash to handle it yet.

I really can't tell you why TC's sending you updates on it though since I don't get any for my cap1 co

It still has a balance so I am dinged for it, but my score doesn't go down everythime they update. I am trying again to PDF them, the last one they refused...which to me is silly since the DOLA is 5+ years ago, and waaay past SOL.
