Chase Credit Journeys

I tried to enroll in Chase Credit Journeys. I decided to enroll to see if pre-screened offers would start populating. Not expecting offers immediately but wanted to keep that iron in the fire for down the road.

It got to "processing application screen" and then it said: Based on the information provided we cannot enroll you in Chase Journey.

Background is that I burned Chase >7 years ago for ~$4K. It is no longer on my CR and I have received some pre-screened offers for United Mileage Plus since resolving all the issues.

Does this mean I am on the super, duper black list? Has anybody else seen this message? I did see an identity inquiry popup for me almost immediately so perhaps they could not identify me adequately?

Re: Chase Credit Journeys

Chase has a long memory; I'd guess you're on the no fly list with them.

only way to check is to go open a checking/savings account, and see if that resolves the account issue

Re: Chase Credit Journeys

I burned them for much more about 6.5 years ago, didn't file BK. I signed up for the chase credit journey and it was accepted! Of course there aren't any offers for me, but I get a free report!

Re: Chase Credit Journeys

I burned chase for a lot in my BK, a few years later I opened up a checking and savings. Signed up for credit journey and get no offers but I was approved for both a CFU and CSP both with $50k SLs last week. I'm only 7 years out from BK with a 758 Experian and bk still shows on my report.

Make sure when  signing up use a different email address than the one you had when you burned them. It might work that way.

Re: Chase Credit Journeys

It's possible you're on a blacklist due to past issues. The identity inquiry may have caused enrollment issues. Contact Chase for clarity.

Re: Chase Credit Journeys

You got two 50k SL's after burning Chase? That's wild.

Re: Chase Credit Journeys

Burned Chase 10+ years ago.  I too was now allowed in Credit Journey last yr.  I opened up checking/savings and DD and voila it let me in.  Now I have $39,800 CL across 2 cards after growing w/ them in the last 8 months
