Hello All,
DH refinanced his Chase auto loan with our CU appx one month ago. This account was relatively new as it was opened appx one year ago(zero baddies).
Chase has a "Credit Journey" feature on their accounts webpage and the Closed/Paid Off auto loan has completed disappeared from the list of accounts---overnight. As a result, his "Credit Journey" Vantage 3.0 credit score increased but we weren't too concerned about that. I was looking for it to report Closed/$0 balance. Now it's completely gone. What are the chances it will be gone when the 3 major bureas update for January? He didn't lose much age but is this a normal practice for Chase on paid auto loans?
Two things:
1. CreditJourney gets their information from Experian, so *if* it disappeared, I would check your Experian credit report (for free at Experian.com) to see if it's really gone.
2. Vantage doesn't seem to pay any attention to closed loans as far as scoring, so I wouldn't pay too much credence to that score - You can check your three CRA FICO8 scores at Experian or at MyFico to check his F8s

Thanks for responding! MyFICO.com (Experian only--don't have 3b, yet) hasn't reflected any changes. Just received an alert from WalletHub and it's still there showing $0 balance/closed. The Vantage score dropped.
Again, not too worried about the score change...but the disappearing act? Never knew that could/would happen....thoughts?
I'll check Experian.com and update this post...
Yeah, Vantage doesn't show or score closed accounts

Yay!
It shows on Experian.com as Closed/Paid Satisfactorily
...I guess "CreditJourney" decided to only show active/open accounts.
