ChoicePoint?

Can someone please tell me about ChoicePoint. I never heard of this company before... My homeowners insurance is up for renewal and they determined my policy premium by this company and I did not recieve the lowest rate. I am livid! They didnt do any softs or hards from my "real" cr's. Please give me info about this...grrrrrrSmiley Mad

Re: ChoicePoint?

You can shop around for you own homeowner's policy and replace the company "given" to you by the bank.  It's usually best to use someone from which you have some other type of insurance (like Geico or Allstate) or membership like (AAA).

Never heard of Choicepoint probably an arm of some other company.  Insurance inquiries should be labelled as soft pulls or not a credit inquiry.

Re: ChoicePoint?

Worried me a little to when I Choice Point showed up on my CR. They do insurance risk for auto / home insurance companies. Always a soft hit.

The insurance company who used Choicepoint showed up on the line as well so it wasn't a concern.

Re: ChoicePoint?

Is  ChoicePoint considered a CRA - and does anyone know if they play by the rules?

So much for living off the grid and having zero fico for those Dave Ramsey fans- this is just what we were trying to explain to him the other day...
