Collection Agency Dispute

I have recently received two letters from National Credit Solutions (NCS) claiming that I have two collection accounts with them for BMG Music service and Columbia House.  I have not ordered anything from either of those two companies in YEARS!  All previous accounts were paid in full many years ago.  Unfortnately BOTH of these are listed on my credit report and I have disputed them, however, now I'm getting mail from NCS demanding payment.  Do I have any recourse?  Do they not have to provide proof that the accounts are mine?  Are they not required to give me more information that the insane balance they say I owe?

Re: Collection Agency Dispute

Under a dispute, the CRA won't provide any info they received from the CA/OC as a rusult of the dispute. Send this CA a DV letter and see what happens, assuming the dispute has yet to be resolved.

Do you know the result of the dispute? Do you still have proof of payment? If so, did you send that to the CRAs?
