I have been battling with a collection agency for 3 years now, and as I was snooping around the internet I came across their website. The website is an insurance attorney though. I thought it was a mistake at first, but the addresses are the same. Anyone know why an Insurance attorney would be affiliated with a collection agency?
Welcome.
Perhaps they are in the same building. Or the attorney is wearing 2 hats.
I know that there are a lot of attorneys who have decided to hang a "collections" shingle because they can call themselves a law firm and hire collection associates under them to do the dirty work. the only reason they need the attorney is have a name behind the threats of legal action.
Just keep battling them and make sure they follow the letter of the law. if they don't they will get a right chewing out by the judge if it ever goes to court. law offices letting collection agents go to town using their name as a billy club can get in a whole lot of trouble.
