Collection Question?

Hello ppl.

I have two collections on my account.  One is PIF, the other has a balance.

The PIF is from Midland Collections and is reporting as open which is incorrect,  and also is listed as 120+ days late but not in the collections section it is listed under accounts.

The other collection has a balance of $487 which I've spoken to everyone and their mama and they will not do a PFD.  Only will update to a "Paid Collection".  It is not listed under collections either, and is reporting two 120+ days past due.  I had a payment arrangement with them sent them two checks.  They cashed one, never received the other so I'm guessing they are reporting that as two late payments.  The date account opened is incorrect on my credit report.

Would I be a fool to dispute these as inaccurate info on my credit reports in an effort to have these deleted completely? Or will it not do me any good and update the collection and therefore make my score decrease..?

Please help.  I am desperate!! i am willing to pay someone to fix this for me, lol,Smiley Very Happy

Re: Collection Question?

For the paid collection:

What is the balance showing?
When is this scheduled to drop?
Have you ever disputed this?
Have you GW'd this?

For the unpaid collection:
Had you checked to see if the OC still owns this?
When was the last payment applied?
How old is the uncashed check?
Did they refuse a written PFD or was this verbal?
The account opened date is the date they took over, not the original account with the OC.
The account can now be re-aged.
