Some of you might have remembered me posting about this unknown collection on my CR a couple months back. Well I just wanted to give you an update of the situation. First of all, I paid off this collection right when I realized what it was and filed a dispute (well not really a dispute) with all three bureaus immediately. I basically said, "Okay, I paid this thing off... now take it off my credit report please." You kinda have to add that please or else they'll think you're a snothead. lol.
TR and EX took it off my CR no problem. EQ denied me the first time. So I tried again a couple weeks later and bam! I got a letter from them stating that it will be off my CR. haha! I didn't have to contact the creditor at all. And no letter was needed either. After a month from getting that letter, it was automatically removed and my credit score is slowly rising as we speak. Whooptifrickendoo! Hard work pays off after all I guess.
