So I made the mistake of buying a timeshare over 15 years ago with Westgate Blue Tree. I still owe money on the mortgage for it. I have not done anything with it in over 10 years. I haven't paid any maintenance fees either. There's been a collection on my credit report from Pinnacle Recovery for years. I think it's for maintenance fees. I have had zero communication with Pinnacle in years. If I settle it, what happens to the mortgage? Will they have me back on the hook for it? Does anyone have any experience with this? I just want out from the whole thing.
