Goodmorning all. When a debt is paid in full and deleted off of all 3 credit bureaus. Does your score go up? I'm asking because, I had a few paid and deleted and my score went up. However. My recent and last collection that was deleted. My score didn't go up at all. Nothing had changed outside of that, that would keep the score the same. Thanks in advance for your replies.
If the debt was paid in full and deleted, AND it was the last one on our reports, then yes, your scores should have gone up. That said, if you have other baddies, then there is no guarantee of anything happening to your scores.
Chapter 13:
I categorically refuse to do AZEO!
Thanks for your reply. That's exactly what I'd thought. Nope. I don't have any other negatives. I'd got rid of all of the collections on my report, where my score had jumped up, but this last one. So I need to write to the 3 credit bureaus to see what the explanation is for this.

How long has it been? Are you sure the item was actually deleted from each of the credit bureaus? It may just be a matter of processing time right now. If it's been awhile, then contacting the CBs is probably a good idea because your score should've gone up, given what you've said.
Yes. It was deleted. I was able to see it on Credit Karma and Creditwise, where Transunion and Equifax shows that it's deleted. The negative was on my report for a little over 2 years, like the others that were taken off. Yes. I'll contact the C.B.

There are couple of reasons maybe your score didn't go up when it was removed.
You been rebucketed to a clean(er) one and your profile aren't quite as good as others in that bucket.
That particular baddy wasn't included in the scoring to began with, like if clloection amount was very low or you may already gotten a score bump when it was report paid, or it was dormant for while.
Perhaps you are looking at VantageScores and not FICOs, or FICO 9 and not FICO 8 or...
Unfortunately I don't think Credit Bureaus will able to tell you why your score didn't go up.

Thanks for the reply and possible explanations. I didn't use any of the FICO scores. I get a report, daily from Credit Karma. All of the others the were dormant (Those were taken off a few weeks before this one.) around the sametime.

When it comes to scores, CreditKarma is essentially worthless; they report Vantage 3.0, however, virtually all lenders use one of the many FICO scoring models. FWIW, my Vantage 3.0 scores slot below both my FICO 9 and FICO 5/4/2 mortgage scores, but will above my FICO 8 scores.

The CRA's wont do anything about scores. Inaccurate info yes. Theres nothing to do because they're deleted so theres nothing to dispute. Like the poster said above your in a new bucket. Bottom of the bucket. But in time things will go up. Especially if someone above you messes up.
