I can't seem to find an answer to this question.
If a collection is deleted after I disputed it, shouldn't it be removed from all CRA's? When it's deleted, it's the collection agency that is removing it, right? It doesn't make sense to me that a collection agency would delete it from one, but not from the others.
I have disputed Capital One (I settled in full with Capital One almost two years ago and now have a new Capital One account) and it was removed from Experian, but they won't remove it from TU or Equifax. There are five more accounts that have been deleted on Experian and TU, but not on Equifax. I don't understand why...
One of the collections removed from Experian and TU is a medical bill and the other four collections are from Trident for WSOP, when my ex played poker on my account when I was sleeping and used my checking acccount, which all my info was on the account, to play. I explained this to TU and Experian and they removed it, but Equifax didn't remove it.
So why would Trident say go ahead and delete from TU and Experian, but not from Equifax??

Not sure if you disputed with each individual CRA but if you only disputed with one that has nothing to do with the others.
Just because one CRA deletes a derog it has nothing to do with the others deleting it. Each agency must receive the dispute.
Of all the agencys I have had disputes with Equifax was the hardest nut to crack.
All you can do is if you have more documents to prove your case is to upload them and stay on top of the dispute online and/or via phone.
You may be lucky enough to get some acceptable resolution.
I also had a cap1 charge off and after 3 years got a new account. I disputed the CO and it was deleted from my credit reports.
When you dispute with a CRA, a copy of the dispute is forwarded to the furnisher (in this case, a debt collector).
The furnisher has until the expiration of the 30 day dispute period to reply back to the referring CRA.
The CRA then must make the final determination (verification, correction, or deletion) of the disputed information, and send the notice of results of reinvestigation to the consumer within 5 days after conclusion of the reinvestigation period.
If the CRA deletes, they do not contact the other CRAs.
If the furnisher determines that they cannot verify or correct, they must also report deletion to any other CRA to which they have also reported the disputed information, so the burden is on the debt collector to notify the other CRAs if they cannot verify or correct. It is not on the CRA with whom the dispute is filed.
HOWEVER, it is common for a furnisher, upon receipt to a dispute, to report deletion back to the CRA without making a specific finding that they cannot verify or correct. Reporting of deletion makes the dispute moot, as the disputed information is no longer of record with the CRA to which the dispute was sent.
If the debt collector has not made the specific finding that they cannot verify or correct, they need not report any deletion to any other CRAs. The consumer must then dispute with any remainiing CRAs in order to get a finding.
A typical reason for deletion with only the disputing CRA, and not others, is simply to obviate the dispute, and simplify reporting.
In summary, it is common for a dispute to result in deletion with only the single CRA to which the dispute was filed, and not with any others.
I had a Capital One and Credit One that was charged off and sent to collections in 2015. I paid them both in 2018. I had asked them to be removed in 2018, but they wouldn't do it. I just did another dispute last week asking them to remove both of them, as I now have a new Capital One and Credit One credit card. I have had my new Capital One card for 3 months and I have had my new Credit One card for 1.5 years without a late payment and a recent credit increase, which I explained in my disute.
They finally deleted them off Equifax today! I am happy, and just waiting to get the other stuff cleaned up. I love this forum!
Thank you all for your help!
