Collection deleted

Nice surprise this morning,ran a fico score and saw a collection from 7years ago gone....Experian went from 722 on 3-10 to 798 today!....76 point jump!One word of advise NEVER let anything go into collection if not necessary.This was all due to a faulty awning job and me not taking the contractor to small claims court to have it settled before it was turnt over.

Is your credit report clean other than this collection? I have a collection fallinf off and it is the only baddie on my report. I doubt I will get that high of an increase, but I would be happy with a 20-30 point jump.

I think it actually may have come off in November....I last checked my scores in June of 2010 and my Trans was 791 and EQ  722 (it was only reprted to EQ)now Trans 790 and EQ 798

yes,that was the only blip.My other score was always pretty good and much higher than EQ so it is really the only thing I see that caused the jump.
