Collections and Charge offs

Ok I am very confused.... how are you supposed to know when the 7 years is up on these bad hits? They list date opened, date, sent to collections; last activity....which one do I go by to track when something should come off my report?

Any help greatly appreciated Smiley Tongue

Government Student Loan Defaults

I just came out of default on 2 students loans that I had through government financing. They have not reported this to the credit bureaus yet. Will this dramatically improve my score? How much of an increase could I expect from this?

Re: Collections and Charge offs

It goes by DoLA(date of last activity) or DoFD (date of first delinquency). If it is not visable on the CR try calling them(CRA) and asking for either of these things.
