Both Comcast ($79) and Verizon ($439) have listed accounts as a collection with all three CRA. AFNI,inc has refused a PFD of course, and Comcast only has Robots answering their phones. I disbuted the entries with the CRA's and filed a PFB for both. Next step is PFD, if that doesn't work then GW with settlement. I just hate the fact I would have to be paying something I already have paid.
To top it off AFNI,inc. listed the collection as new starting August 13th 2007 from a Febuary 3rd 2002 Collection I already paid before it was a collection, the removal date is right Feb 2009 but it's still treated as a new collection and hit my FICO for 70 points.
The Comcast thing I've been dealing with since August of 2005, now that I've found this forum I've got a few things I can work with (other than the robots reading cue-cards).
No questions for anyone, you've all done an awesome job of stickying what's is important and posting enough experiances of what works and with who you get results. I just wanted to start a thread to help me keep track, and maybe give some light on what works for me.
BTW: I started in 2002 with FACKO score's of EQ: 420, TU: 470, EX: 430 (I didn't know the differance between FACKO and FICO untill January of this year) and up untill the 13th of August 2007 I had moved my FICO up to EQ: 676, EX: 636, TU: 638 (the only reason I didn't hit 700+ is because of the new accounts, and the number of hits from shopping for CC's)
Today my FICO is EX: 578, TU: 560, EQ: 540 and that was all because of AFNI,inc's false report.....
Edit: AFNI to ANFI,inc (I read things backwards sometimes)
