Coorecting "typogrphical" errors

I noticed there are typographical errors in prior addresses, and complete name mis-spellings on the prior name / address portion CR.  Should I request to have them removed completely?

For example, if it lists "Rboert Simth" as a previous name or "alias".  Should I simply have that removed, or will it have an potential negative impact on the score, and just let it stay.

Re: Coorecting "typogrphical" errors

Good luck.  I've tried.  My name is Ja' Net - I'm listed as Janet, Ja Net, and even Ja.  I have addresses on my report that aren't mine, but are similar to mine in one way or another, and I can't get any of them off lol

Re: Coorecting "typogrphical" errors

I just faxed letters to all 3 CRAs about name mispelling and incorrect addresses.  When I tried to do it online, it gave me the blah blah about being reported by my creditors.  I've been divorced for 3 years and found my ex's addresses on my CRs from after the divorce.  I also included that if my address was on my ex's, that it had better be removed as well.  We'll see how it goes...

Re: Coorecting "typogrphical" errors

The subject of this thread has a few of those. Ha

I have the same name as my dad (Jr and Sr is the only dif.) When it gets listed wrong I have disputed it, and it's been removed or changed.

Re: Coorecting "typogrphical" errors

I had several incorrect addresses on my EX CR and never had any luck getting them off. The other day I was disputing and was having a problem and a number popped up to call. i also told the lady about the typos and she just deleted them immediately. She even laughed at a semi joke i told her about staying at one of the addresses for a weekend (true story). She will probably get fired. I don't think EX employees are allowed to laugh.
