Credit Card Payment Tactics

Hi,

What are the CC payment tactics to increase FICO ? PIF or leaving balance on CC ? Keeping %8.9 total utilization ?

I would like to get some information about CC payment schedules. I prefer to pay PIF but it doesnt give too much benefits.

Do you guys recommend huge purchase via CC then paying off the that about for Rewards or Cash Back purposes instead of paying cash? I sometimes purchase stuff over 2K one transaction and paying the same amount next day to earn some point.

Re: Credit Card Payment Tactics

Keep total utilization under 8% and only let one card report a small balance each month (all zero except one method).

If you are not trying to get a mortgage, a car loan, or a new card over the next few months, then there is really no need to min-max as I described. So long as your not late making a payment and preferably don't carry a balance (to prevent interest) you are good to go.
