Greetings All,
It has been a long time since I posted; I mainly review posts to keep abreast of events, but I feel it necessary to inform all of an incident regarding CCT billing.
As I attempted to retrieve my monthly reports on 5/24/2016, the CCT system prompted me to enroll another payment source (it had previously billed from Paypal, but due to Paypal updating to the credit card, it would not utlize previous billing). After entering new information and CCT system accepting new payment information, their system immediately logged me out. Before logging back in, I received notification from my credit card company that they had billed me for the monthly payment. I then logged back in to access my reports, I received a second alert from my credit card company notifying me that a payment for $34 had been submitted by CCT. I contact CCT and they refused to reimburse / credit my account stating, I had access my credit report twice (on the same date).
I stronly encourage everyone to be mindful of actioins of this nature- especially when it occurs around billing.
BTW, I am disputing the 2nd charge.
Enjoy your evening!

I had them double charge me the $1.00 for the 1 week trial fee once... I saw two $1.00 charges on my card. I called and they said there was nothing they could do about it. It was only a buck, so not a huge deal, but I still found it irritating that they were unwilling to make an adjustment.
Are you disputing under the Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA) rather than the FCRA?
The FCBA dispute process is more strict, but has a 60-day timeliness requirment from time of the asserted billing error.
