Credit Inquiry

I have a credit inquiry from Silverleaf (timeshare I have) and First USA.  Silverleaf has been checking my credit (5/14/07 and 2/25/08).  How can they do that?

I have inquiry from First USA (2/2/08), and I don't know HOW that is.  I opened a Chase CC in March 2008.  There is no phone # on my credit report to call First USA, and I don't think I should call around to First USA giving out my SSN and asking if they pulled my credit report.

Please help ... like you always do.

Oh yeah .... I forgot about that?  How can I tell the difference?

Your CR  doesn't list all ings together   Look above the list of names....it might say  regular ings....and then explain        promotional and review are both soft pulls

Depending on the report, it will actually have a column that says something like these inqs will not been shown to other creditors or effect your score.

IThere is only one column.  There are also WAMU and ATT and Dish, which are "new accounts" I opened last year.

Should I call True Credit to ask if they are hard/soft inquiries?

TrueCredit only shows hards. If it's on TC, it's a hard.

You see the softs on the full reports that you get directly from each CRA.

Sorry thought it was a paper report.....yes TC will only show hard.

You should read the GOWEN FTC  letter-

A fixed term account does not have PP unless it is for collection purposes- and must be coded as such.

I am going after a few of my and DW OC for non-pp access.

Closed accounts do not have PP either-
