Credit Keeper Question

Hello.. Not sure if anyone can answer this question, but here goes..

What the heck is the "Score Plus" Tracker?? It says my score is 663.  Is this at all comparable to the FICO's? Is this a different score than the ones they also list on that site, aka FAKO's? The numbers are different, but the dates are also different so wasn't sure..

Re: Credit Keeper Question

My score have being sitting on 669 since I signed up with them. At 1st the 3 scores from my reports were almost even with my fico scores. The last couple of months my fico scores have went up alot but the scores from credit keeper are no longer moving. Thinking about canceling them.

I checked bith of mines at the same time last month--same day just to see difference

Re: Credit Keeper Question

The PLUS score is different from the 3 bureaus - until this month PLUS was lower and the individuals higher.  Waiting for the next pull to see new monthly scores. PLUS went up dramatically this month (a new collection was removed) - but the reports already had it gone...

I like the alerts (and they do work for me) - account added, etc. Keeps me current with what is going on.

I feel safe in saying that a constant rise will probably be a rise with FICOs also - how much is tied into the different algorithims.

Re: Credit Keeper Question

I had Credit Keeper for over a year and then found this forum.  I didn't realize that those scores where not true fico scores.  Cancelled Credit Keeper very quickly after that.  My fico scores where higher than those on Credit Keeper.

Re: Credit Keeper Question

Yes, I am confused.  The FAKOs are very similar to my real FICO's.  I recently pulled a report on 1/06/08 and it shows my score at about 590.  I received a credit keeper alert the other day stating that my Score Plus tracker was working, and it had my score at 663 as of 01/14/08.  So can anyone please explain?  What the heck is Score Plus, and is it supposed to be similar to the FAKO's they also provide on the site when I pull my credit report? Because those numbers aren't correlating and they are both fm credit keeper..

Credit Keeper gives EX Plus scores that are FAKOs, not FICO. These FAKO scores are meaningless. Credit monitoring services such Credit Keeper, True Credit, Credit Secure and etc. are a good and economical way to monitor changes on your reports. Disregard the scores though. If enough changes occur on your reports, then you may want to come back to this forum and pull your FICO scores. I do not agree with others who say FAKO score trends give you a good idea of where your FICO scores are at. This is simply not true for most of us.

Re: Credit Keeper Question

haut..........if your creditkeeper scores are very similar to your real FICO's, it is by sheer coincidence only. The creditkeeper scores, like the TrueCredit scores, are not worth the paper you use to print them on.
