Credit Report Formats

I know that format of the "consumer" version of the credit reports we obtain through MyFico and through annualcreditreport.com are different as far as layout and as far as whether or not all data fields available are reported.

Is there a difference between the format of the consumer report obtained directly from the CRAs compared to the one obtained from the CRAs through the annualcreditreport.com portal?

Is there a difference between the format of the consumer report obtained through the CRAs online vs the printed report you would receive if you had it mailed to you?

And ... is there a way to get our hands on the less consumer friendly "lender" version of our credit reports that include a key for the cryptic codes displayed in those reports?  I really would like to see one of those reports and try to decipher it and compare it to the consumer version of the reports.

Re: Credit Report Formats

I can give you the benefits of my experiences:

1.)  Yes, they are formatted just slightly different. You would not have any problem reading it.
2.) Same answer
3.) Fortunately for me the guy that I buy my cars from is also an acquaintenance and he has given me copies of the auto enhanced credit report he gets when he runs my name. It really has no format at all but all the information is there you just have to know where to look and he showed me how. It wasn't difficult at all.

Re: Credit Report Formats

My reports from annual yada yada were identical to the ones I paid the CRA's for. Annual yada yada is just the portal to get to the CRA reports without paying.

The ones that were mailed to me look different from the online versions of the ones I paid the CRA's for, but everything is there on both sets, including softs, addresses, etc.
