Credit Report Question

Dear All,

Would anyone be so kind to please tell me whether it is possible to check online if i have any freeze/hold/block/etc on my credit report on either of 3 companies as alternative to calling them all one by one? The ''freeze'' is not the only thing that could happen on credit report and that could prevent report to be accessed by some lender or whoever else. I am aware of website "creditkarma dot com" but i am afraid its not a good solution because of either or both of the following two reasons:

- it may report only "freeze" but there can be similar occurrence on the credit report too preventing it to be accessed. E.g. "hold"

- it may Not report from all 3 credit report companies but from one or two only

So my question is, whether it is possible to check online (alternative to 3 phone calls) if anything like that is on my report (all 3 companies!)? If yes, where can i check this? It would be wonderful if i could remove this on the website too but this is already out of the scope of my question.

i would call, as online it could be quite complex to deal with. if not impossible.

If I recall, you can check online.  I believe it will give you the choice to freeze or unfreeze.  If it is already frozen, it will let you know.  Also, TransUnion would have given you a PIN number that you would be required to enter.  If you threw it away and don’t remember the number, then you would have to call TU.  

Depending on on the state you reside, you would also have to pay a fee to freeze.
