Credit Report: "Employer"

The other day I pulled my reports and the Employer is not current. I am with a different company now. How do I go about updating that? Thanks!

Piggybacking onto this question: I heard that length of employment may affect your score; currently one or two of my reports show that I still work for Nextel however Sprint came through 1.5 years ago and laid me off (yay severance!). So I've been at my current employer for 1.5 years. Is it really best to update it... ?

I called the CRA and updated it.

Length of employment may be a factor in a creditor's decision, it is not in your CS.

What types of information are NOT used in calculating my FICO score?

1. Your race, color, religion, national origin, sex or marital status

2. Your age

3. Your salary, occupation, title, employer, date employed or employment history

4. Where you live

5. Certain types of inquiries such as promotional, account review, insurance or employment related inquiries

6. Any information not found in your credit file

7. Any information that is not proven to be a predictive of future credit performance

WEll time for ME to piggyback the same question. I have an old employer that I'm no longer with as well on my CR's.

But I am now retired. Is leaving that old employer helping me or hurting me....in any way? I can certainly update that information, but my question is: is it advantageous for me to do so?
