Credit Reporting on Judgements

I have a Judgement on a CC by a CA. Now the judgement is showing along with the original CC Bank which is shown as a chargeoff.  Means both the chargeoff and Judgement are showing.

Should I dispute the chargeoff?

Re: Credit Reporting on Judgements

Have you tried to make settlement and remove the judgement? It is possible to get both judgement and charge off removed if your CA is willing to work with you. Make a settelement in a way they file a nonsuit with the court. Though there is no guarantee, that  could help you get both the Judgement and CO removed.

Re: Credit Reporting on Judgements

The amount is large for me to even think of a settlement. Once I have the capacity, I will try and work it out with the CASmiley Sad
But is disputing a CO possible on this? which may help my current EX Score of 545.

Re: Credit Reporting on Judgements

MM2 try negotiating with the CA. They might settle the amount for lot less that what you think. I made settlements for as little as 30% and had them delete it. There is no harm in disputing CO. Send a letter and see what happens.
