I received a email from credit sesame saying that I have excellent credit score. When I logged in, it told me my score was 743. How is this possible? I have not had 6 months credit history and did not even receive the 6th statement from my oldest card. Does credit sesame always give higher scores than expected? Thanks.
Your CS could be higher or lower than your real FICO. It's arbitrary. Pull a FICO to know where you truly stand.
CS is pretty much a joke. It not only gives the most inaccurate FAKOs (in my experience), but the Experian data it's supposedly working from can be wildly out of date.
I'm not sure why CS would be generating a score before you ought to have one, but it may just be extrapolating from incomplete data.
Still ... enjoy that score!
In my experience, my Credit Sesame score has been relatively similar to my actual FICO score, or at least moves in the same direction. They update balances once every other month which is why they may seem out of date.
