I had to leave my EX unlocked. Until it updated I think on a Sunday. I’m wondering if I’m gonna have to unlock it again every two weeks on Sunday or if the one time was enough.

Let me get this straight Ex was the only one you had to leave unlocked and Trans and Equifax updated while locked.

How many days did you have to leave Ex unlocked?

(I know it might end up a little trickier because they do state they don't update in real time so it may be unique to the customer. Time will tell)

I believe you stated earlier  (too lazy right now to go back and see) Why do we have to reverse engineer stuff? I second that emotion.

Thanks

Re: Credit.com starting new monitoring product

I believe it was Monday the sixth so I’m assuming it’ll update again on the 20th.

Yeah I just looked at it on the simulator it’s got projected scores for the 20th and every two weeks following, so I’m assuming I may have to leave it unlocked the Sunday night before or wait for another two weeks, but I guess I have to test it and see if the first time was good enough to open it up.

I didn’t get the three bureau deal, so I don’t know the effect on the other two bureaus. I’m just doing the free deal. If I can get the five dollar deal I would go for it

Re: Credit.com starting new monitoring product

I don’t remember how long I left it open but it was within a two week window so it was less than two weeks.

And yes it definitely sucks having to reverse engineer stuff something that simple they should be able to tell you.

Re: Credit.com starting new monitoring product

As far as how long it had to be unlocked, I think it's in 14 day increments from the last update shown since it was locked.  It worked out that way for me.  I unlocked on 6/19 and it updated on 6/28 which is in line with 14 day increments from last update.  Just updated again yesterday.

Re: Credit.com starting new monitoring product

Okay so it’s user specific I guess from when you originally signed up every 14 days

Re: Credit.com starting new monitoring product

Actually I assume it's 14 days from the last update date that you saw on Credit.com before you unlocked it.  Not from original signed up, like MyFICO.  It creates a new cycle like EX and CK if you wait beyond when it's available.

Credit.com's "ExtraCredit" service launched?

Got an email this morning from credit.com officially inviting me to pay $24.95 for their ExtraCredit product. For those who participated in the beta program, or for those who just signed up:

  • how often are the 3B FICO scores updated? They don't seem to indicate this on the sign up nor in the FAQs.
  • how does this service compare to myFICO or Experian premium?
  • would you recommend this above any others?

Thanks in advance!!

Re: Credit.com starting new monitoring product

So, just chiming in, after I posted this today, if I can sum up the credit.com ExtraCredit product:

  • updates monthly for all 3 bureaus
  • updates 28 FICO scores
  • prioritizes FICO 9 (or defaults to it)
  • does NOT send changes to CR between monthly reports
  • does NOT have a mobile app

Anything else that is different than the other paid services (like myFICO and Experian Premier)?
