Re: Credit.com starting new monitoring product

@FlaDude , Curious, now with the paid subscription I don't see where I can still see my Vantage 3 score.  Not that important but this is the only site I'm signed up with that provides and EX V3 score.  Is it still there...somewhere?

Funny, I was wondering that as well. Seems like if you have the paid, you lose the Vantage, unless I am mistaken.

Once you are on the paid plan it defaults to the Extracredit homepage where you can only access your 28 Fico scores along with the downloadable credit reports for each bureau. (You lose the V3 score.)

I haven't see a way to get back to the unpaid page with the Vantage score.

Thanks @FlaDude That answers one of my questions regarding history as I just signed up 9/1.  Is there a way to print the report with scores?  It looks like it only provides the report data. Haven't followed this thread in while but do you know if there is suppose to be updates to FICO 9 or any score throughout the month or only the monthly update?

Although most of my scores currently don't produce reason codes I could probably live with this service is they provided them.  I'll probably cancel and retain myFICO as their reports offer much more info that I'm interested in with a consolidated report.

As far as I have seen, the reports don't include scores, I've been printing the page to PDF for mine, but that is a bit tedious 3X. They provide no alerts or score updates during the month, just the monthly update. I'm surprised that they would put the money and effort into creating a new product like this without scoping the competion, but that certainly appears to be the case. Early on they solicited feedback and I mentioned lack of alerts and score updates vs. myFICO, but never heard back and they haven't done anything yet. They did say early on that more features could be coming, but I haven't see a change since they started other than taking a couple of weeks before they reported EQ scores.  I'll definately keep it at the introductory price, but considering the limitations vs. myFICO, I wouldn't pay $25 unless they make some improvements.

@FlaDude My update was on 10/2 and this notice/alert was not there.  I logged in somewhere around the 8th just to see if anything was different and this screen was not there at that time either.  However, I logged in today to refresh my memory of when my "next" report would be available and will wait a few days as I planned to do this month but didn't to see if it moves the next due date....  Saw this "alert?"

Odd thing, this score was provided on my 10/2 update but not this notice or "alert".  I also have an EX subscription and know this change actually occurred on 9/26 after my CC balance reported as significantly decreased.  So although I can't figure out their timing, it seems like they may provide updates.?.?

@Trudy The only alert I've had that included an email notification was for a new credit card I opened a couple of weeks ago. I was also alerted from a bunch of free services (CK, NW, Experian, Discover credit scorecard) and I'm pretty even the free version of Credit.com would have alerted. I haven't gotten any of the balance change or real time score change alerts like myFICO provides.

Last month my TU score was about 5 days late updating and I never did get an EX update (they did waive my monthy fee). I'd be getting pretty annoyed with them by now if I was paying full price.

Re: Credit.com starting new monitoring product

I don't have a promo but considering my F8 scores wanted to see how changes with my installment loans may impact other scores for DPs since they are the last to report and that is when I pull myFICO 3B.  With this I can get all scores before that to compare and narrow down a change.

Not sure it's worth the few saved extra dollars a month to replace myFICO.  I'll keep it for a few months as I'm going to pay off my car which will increase my installment UTL and see how it responds as I work it back down to the 50ish%.  Ironically my payment was decline on 10/1 due to Capital One's occasional extreme security (although the initial sign up was not declined).  Got my scores and to date they still haven't charged my account.  I suppose I'll get double billed next month, I changed cards.

Hard to say what has happened, I think they are still having teething pains, hopefully they'll get their act together eventually.

I remembered another minor annoyance. Yesterday one of my scores said "next score update in 1 day", but the update never happens the next day, it happens the next business day after the next day. Hopefully Monday unless they have the same glitches they had last month. If I really needed reliably updated scores, I'd stick with myFICO or other services. For now it's just interesting to see more or less monthly scores for the $5 intro rate, but no way I'd pay full bore unless they improve the product.

Thought I would chime in.  One thing I don't particularly care for is every month I have to go to all 3 bureaus and unlock my reports for credit.com to update (I usually do it a couple of days before next scheduled update) due to the fact it doesn't update once you unlock reports. It takes somewhere between 24-48 hours for the update to occur.

A couple of months ago for some reason Trans didn't update on the same day as Equifax and Experian and since then it has been 3 days after the Equifax and Experian updates. This month I will unlock files 3 days later and hope all 3 will update on the same day again.

That way I can unlock and unlock all 3 at the same time.

I enjoy seeing all 28 fico scores and definitely would keep the service at the rate I have currently (5 dollars a month) but I really can't see myself paying 25 dollars a month for what is offered right now. They would definitely have to offer comparable services and reports similar to other services that charge around the same rate.
