Re: Credit one credit card

It would help get rid of a fee harvester card, yea. Other than that, not really.

Re: Credit one credit card

What are you trying to achieve by closing? Are you trying to raise your score?

You have to be more descriptive with questions. Participate with the questions.

If trying to raise score, Have you paid derogatory account from older posts? Take info given and use it to improve.

Re: Credit one credit card

Closing the card won't help your score.  If it is is your oldest card it could hurt slightly but as others have said a fee harverster card I would just close it.  There is no quick fix to raising scores, take care of any baddies (or wait for them to fall off), use the credit you have responsbiliy and overtime you will see scores increase.

Re: Credit one credit card

@razzy116if I may ask, what are your credit goals? And why not start one thread where you ask all your questions and interact with your fellow MyFICOers so that you can have your questions answered all at once, and more importantly, have one single thread for reference, rather than having to dig through your post history to look through all your threads and try to compile all your answers together.

Re: Credit one credit card

@razzy116 could you outline why you think closing a card in good standing would be beneficial to your credit profile?  What are your thoughts? Thx.

Re: Credit one credit card

Also, what happened to your BOA card? You didn't list it.
