Credit one reporting as closed, Dispute with CRA?

I have been with credit one for a little over 2 years, early on they pissed me off and I closed the account. Well after a few hours of stewing over it, I thought that was a bad idea. I don't think they are a good company, but at the time it was 1 of 2 positive TL on my reports. So I called back nd sucked up to them to re open the account which they did. It updates every month, but the status is always "account closed by consumer". The CL is not factored into my available revolving credit. I tried to call their CSR and that got me no where. Should I dispute with CRA?

I'd call back and ask for a supervisor or "the department responsible for reporting to the credit bureaus".

I wouldn't dispute, as it may cause the TL to be removed.

FICO states expressely that it makes no distinction in its scoring whatsoever between an open or closed account in its scoring, PROVIDED the account has a balance.  It should be scoring, both with its CL and balance intact, just the same as any other account.   Period.
If they told you they had reopened the account, then use it now to your benefit!
That is an express pronouncement of FairIsaac in their most recent webinar, which you can listen to on the Credit Education tab above.
IMHO, pay their monthly payment demand in full each month, and then charge one dollar over that after payment in full.  thus keeping a continuing balance, and ensuring continued FICO scoring, while not defaulting on their monthly min.  FairIsaac tells us they will then continue to include it just as any open account in your scoring if there is any balance on the account.  Just dont go to zero balance, or you are dead i  scoring.  The day you go to zero balance, they will close you up like a clam.

Robert you said-
'The day you go to zero balance, they will close you up like a clam.' Is this with any account? b/c I just paid in full my target card and it has a zero balance. Should I charge something? I have my account set up for auto withdrawl of the balance due each month...should I continue this or always have a small balance remaining on the acct?
Thankyou!

Not Robert........but if the account is listed as an "open" account, then don't worry about a 0 balance reporting.

Re: Credit one reporting as closed, Dispute with CRA?

The sum of revolving CREDIT on any summary page is lacking this CL. that's why I feel like its not really helping me. It also has date of deletion. Once again, called CSR and got the run around. If they don't update the status as "open" by the next statement cut, then I will close it. This card is **bleep**, they are greedy predators and with my scores nearing 680's I would be willing to wager my chances of getting a better card.
