Re: Credit questions

I’m by no means as knowledable as the others who have replied and can only speak from what has happened to me. You did not say whether it was a chap 13 or 7.

if it chap 7 it will stay on for 10 years from filing if 13 then 7 years.

i discharged chap 13 about a year ago and it tells me on my reports when it will fall off which will be next year. Neither my wife or I have used any credit until this past month when we both got different credit card accounts. My card has not reported yet, but she put me as an AU on her card and it has. I jumped 17 points on EX, 10 points on TU, and 27 on EQ

every situation is different, but it did help me, but as I said all my accounts are closed and paid with the exception of my student loans, so not sure if it would help in your situation or not.

Started Rebuild 4/2018: EX 616| TU 604| EQ 621

Current 5/28/20:

First Goal Score: 750+ Reached 3/2019

Next Goal all over 800

Re: Credit questions

We already buying a home ,his chapter 13 was dismissed in 2012 but still shows on his report.I'm not sure as to if/when it'll come off.Other than that he only has a bank card from this year which the balance is $575 he mentioned he only used $200.I'm not sure what we can do as I'm new to credit building but all my scores are over 700.Other than the balance he owes on his vehicle which is $20000 and a furniture account which both are in good standing thats all on his report.
