I also wanted to know i opened this new credit card in Jan 2010 I think that might have hurt me should I close that account will it make my score go higher its only been open 3months at the most. I think that might have hurt me the credit limit is only 250.00.
Thank you

Your score is already hurt from the new CC. Your best bet is to let that account age. Dont cancel it.
Welcome to the forums,
Congrats on being Debt Free![]()
Do you know what your FICO scores are? Do you have your current CR's?
Do you have any negative items on your CR's, that maybe you can get removed?
I would suggest reading Credit Scoring 101,just the first post is ok. If you havent already.
Knowledge is power, so read as much as you can.
Also valuable information under the blue tab at the top.....Education
First understand what a credit score is made up from, then
try to tweet your CR's to reflect the best score you can. Good Luck and Happy Reading ![]()
Yes, my fico score just went to 603 today it was 593. My transunion score is 673my experian 640. I wish my installment loan would show on my equifax report i dont understand that it also dosnt show on experian only transunion. I have never been late so i wanted it to show i think that would help my score. i has a lot of hard inquires that will probably help with those drop off, and also I have disputed a few bills. I hope this works out I wanted a very high score so I can purchase a nice home with a really good rate.
Thanks
Where did you get your scores?
The installment loan company reports to whatever CRA they what to, only one,two or all three.
The inquires only hurt your score for 1yr, but report for 2yrs.
